Once the wood is the proper shape to be used in the piece of furniture, it is finished with some material such as varnish or wax.
		As the furniture ages the wood shows signs of its use and wear as can be seen in this leg from the backless stool.
This Chair and Cupboard are also in the Murphy Room. Can you find wood in these two pieces that might have been turned on a lathe?
